CAT-CAP Computer Aided Technology for Coding of Activities and Products(TM)
It represents the software technology based on RAM-DB(TM) database, which allows user to navigate within one classification, nomenclature or dictionary, being possible to change the language, to select an item and to show the chosen item in different languages.
CVBase(R) System(TM)
It represents all of the Software including but not limited to, the methodology for collecting information from a candidate and making it available to recipients of various types (private companies, public bodies, agencies, associations, database service providers, universities, etc.), the format of the DCV file, the documentation, the dictionaries and the rules for putting in place a computer based system to connect the labor offer with the labor demand.
It includes also the format of DCV database, the application programs for storing and retrieving DCV documents in a DCV files database at recipient side.
DCV(R) Digital Curriculum Vitae Software(TM)
DCV Software is a computer program which gives to all individuals a power tool for producing, saving and transmitting via The Internet an electronic curriculum vitae in a digital format (DCV format), which fully responds to company and employment consultant needs as regards present or future placement of personnel and therefore wishes to create and maintain a database of CV’s that serves to trace candidate profiles.
CVBase(R) Management & Query System(TM)
CVBase Management & Query System is the name of the application software designed for receiving, importing, decoding, storing, managing, querying and retrieving a database of DCV documents (the CVBase) at recipients sites.
DCV(R) File(TM)
It represents the computer file which contains the information given by the candidates by way of DCV software, registered onto the file in a proprietary format subject to copyright. This file has the extension ".DCV".
DCV(R) Format(TM)
It represents the proprietary format subject to copyright, used by DCV software to represent the candidate’s Curriculum Vitae. The computer file prepared with this format has the extension ".DCV".
DCV(R) Reader(TM)
It includes a firmware and a hardware key, which used together allow the recipient to decrypt the proprietary DCV format and to read a DCV file, making available the candidate curriculum vitae to the recipient’s CVBase.
DCV(R) Builder(TM), DCV(R) Software(TM), DCV(R) Editing Tool(TM), DCV(R) Encoder(TM), Curriculum Elettronico(R), Digital CV(R)
These are different ways of identifying the same DCV Digital Curriculum Vitae Software product above described.
DLD Digital Language Dictionary(TM)
It represents a database in a proprietary format, provided in different languages, which includes the lexicon, the dictionaries, the codified fields, the field’s labels and the descriptions used by DCV software for allowing a multilingual use of the same DCV software and for rendering the codified information, encoded in a DCV format, readable, in different languages, by the user of DCV software and CVBase Management & Query System.
The principal sections included in a DLD are:
- Study Titles
It represents a dictionary which includes: general Topics of further education, Topics of University education, University study titles and University specializations.
- Industry Sectors
It represents a dictionary which includes economic activity class descriptions, split into elementary economic activity items. Each class has an explanatory note which gives details about economic activities included and not included in the same class.
- Occupational Titles
It represents a dictionary of occupational categories, split into elementary Occupational Titles.
- Organizational Units Dictionary(TM)
It represents a dictionary which includes a number of working areas within each economic activity class. Each working area is then split into a number of relevant working contexts.
- Proficiency in the language
It represents a dictionary which includes a number of items describing the candidate’s proficiency in the language.
- Lexicon, labels and descriptions
It represents a dictionary which includes the lexicon, the field’s labels, the descriptions and the codified tables used by DCV software.

Proper Use of "DCV" and "CVBase" Marks
The word DCV must always be written in capital letters and used as an adjective.
A correct use of the word DCV as adjective is:
"The DCV document is encrypted", "The DCV format is a proprietary format", "The CVBase DCV icon is nice".
A wrong use of the word DCV is: "The DCV has been loaded", "I got a DCV".
The word CVBase must be always written with the first three letter as capital letters.
The word CVBase except when used to indicate the company named CVBase AG, may be used as an adjective or as a substantive. When used as a substantive it represents the database which includes DCV files and candidates' information.
A correct use of the word CVBase as adjective is: "CVBase software", "CVBase System", "CVBase Management & Query System"
A correct use of the word CVBase as substantive is "The CVBase is a good database", "CVBase runs on Oracle", "CVBase contains DCV documents"
A correct use of the word CVBase as Company Name is "CVBase DCV software".

Marking With (R) or (TM)
using a CVBase trademark on any materials that will be distributed or presented to the public, use the registered trademark symbol (R) on the most prominent (or if none is prominent, the first) appearance of a registered trademark. For any CVBase trademark that is not registered, the (TM) symbol should be used in place of the registered trademark symbol ((R)). Once marked, it is not normally necessary to mark subsequent appearances of the trademark in the piece.
Every appearance of CVBase's logos and product names in stylized form should always appear with the appropriate (R) or (TM) symbol, and may be used only under license with CVBase .Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited. Review from time to time the CVBase Trademarks List that reflects the registration status of the trademarks. This list will be updated regularly.
When the word "CVBase" is used as a corporate name, no trademark marking or attribution is necessary. Do not use the (TM) or (R) symbols.
CORRECT: CVBase(R) is a good database.
INCORRECT: CVBase runs on Unix.

INCORRECT: CVBase(R) AG

Attribution Statements
include an attribution statement (which may appear in small, but still legible, print) when using any CVBase trademarks. The statement should read:
[List of CVBase marks used, whether registered or not, beginning with "CVBase" and "the CVBase logo," if used, followed by any other marks in alphabetical order] are trademarks of CVBase AG.
For example:
CVBase, DCV, the DCV logo, are registered trademarks of CVBase AG.
CVBase Management & Query System is a trademark of CVBase AG.
If it is not feasible to include the attribution statement (and if it is not required by any contract you may have with CVBase), it may be acceptable to use a general-purpose attribution statement in a form such as this:
All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Product Signatures Service Marks and Special Marks Guidelines
logo is a graphical design that may include text and other design elements.
CVBase Product Signatures are logos created to identify CVBase's products and technologies. (Includes DCV logo).
CVBase Stylized marks or "logotypes" are those that appear in word form in a particular style of type by CVBase. (CVBase logo)
CVBase Service Marks are logos created to identify a service rendered by CVBase. (Free DCV Now logo)
CVBase Special Marks are logos created to identify a special use of CVBase products and technology.(DCV Bubble logo)
CVBase's logos may be used only if you have licensed them from CVBase and your use is compliant with the terms and conditions of the license. Use of CVBase Trademarks in Third-Party Product Names
CVBase trademarks may not be used by a third party as part of that party's product, service, or trade name, without an express written agreement permitting such use. Licensees, such as authorized distributors or resellers, must consult their agreement with CVBase to determine whether and under what circumstances such use of CVBase trademarks may be done.
In some instances, CVBase product signatures may be used in the advertising on newspaper, in printed form, that refer to career opportunity or job offering. Publishers of such advertising need not obtain express permission from CVBase if the use of CVBase product signatures complies with the requirements set for in the Guidelines for Using the DCV Bubble logo on printings available on CVBase official Web Site.
